The findings highlight stable pay levels alongside a continued shift towards equity alignment and simplified fee structures.

• Median Chairperson compensation remains stable at CHF 300k across SPI companies, while Board Chair pay continues to average around 2.4x that of other Board members.
• 63% of companies combine cash and equity for Board fees, with equity representing around 40% of total compensation on average.
• More than 90% of companies using equity rely on full-value awards, typically subject to three years of sale restrictions.
• 68% of Board Chairpersons receive an all-inclusive annual fee, while 73% of other Board members are compensated through a combination of base and committee fees.
• Share ownership guidelines continue to gain traction, with one in five SPI companies adopting them.
